Hundreds of thousands of Filipinos call the UAE their home. Filipinos are employed in all sectors of the UAE, and have been a crucial part of its economic growth in the last few decades.
Filipinos in the UAE benefit from the financial stability, economic opportunities, and tax-free living the Arab Emirates offer.
Most Filipinos either apply for jobs in the UAE from the Philippines or enter the country on a visitor visa and look for jobs. Regardless of whether they’re in or out of the UAE, all Filipino citizens must provide attested legal documents to obtain a residential visa.
UAE Residential Visas
The UAE offers various kinds of residential visas; these include student visas, employment visas, business visas, and retirement visas.
Employment visas are sponsored by employers of international citizens. The companies file the visa application on their behalf.
Universities and colleges sponsor student visas for their students once they receive the original passport and the attested educational certificates.
Philippines Certificate Attestation
All international citizens who are relocating to the UAE have to submit attested documents. Philippines certificate attestation requires authentication by state/federal bodies in the Philippines, including the UAE Embassy in Manila.
After the certificate is legalized in the Philippines, it can be sent to Dubai for MOFA attestation.
Philippines Certificate Attestation Process
Educational certificates issued by the Philippines must be attested by the DFA Red Ribbon (the Philippines Department of Consular Affairs), the UAE Embassy in Manila, and finally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in the UAE.
All legal authorities verify the documents. The Philippines Department of Consular Affairs provides an apostille certificate, declaring that the document can be used abroad for legal purposes.
If any of your Philippines documents states “specified services certificate”, it means they can’t be used abroad.
Steps Involved in Philippines Certificate Attestation
